One of the sweetest things about a newborn baby are those sweet and small little newborn sized diapers. I remember just a few months ago when I was busy nesting and getting everything ready for my sweet little guy, Andrew, to make his debut. My sweet friends had thrown me a diaper and wipes baby shower and the kids helped me organize each size of diapers that we’d received {which ended up being a TON!} into the nursery closet. The funny thing was that out of all the boxes and packages of diapers I’d gotten as gifts, none of them were the newborn size. I thought it was odd at the time but didn’t really give it much thought. Then this guy finally made his way into our lives:
And then it all started to make sense. He weighed 9 pounds at birth which is way more than I ever expected. My other three boys were all in the 7 pounds range. And, no newborn size diapers for this baby. After noticing the that they were just a wee bit too tight on him in the hospital, I remember kindly asking my nurse in the hospital for size 1 diapers. And here we are at almost 11 weeks old and he’s just made the leap into size 3s!
I am enjoying my li’l big dude, but he doesn’t come without diapering challenges! He has baptized his changing table on more than one occassion because either my hubs or I were not able to change his diaper quick enough! And I love how my other kids get such a kick out of his random toots every now and again.
I really like the fact that I can always count on my Huggies® Snug & Dry diapers to deliver when it comes to long-lasting protection, especially when our family is out and about. I can safely say that my Huggies have helped save the day on more than one occasion! One of my favorite features is the newer soft outer cover that is soft to the touch. I also like that Huggies feature a SnugFit Waistband for All-Around Fit which is going to continue to prove to be necessary especially as my baby gets bigger.
Huggies® Snug & Dry diapers can be found at your local Babies R Us store. I am a BIG fan of Babies R Us. I love that they have a great selection of products at fabulous prices. And, did you know you can even use manufacturer coupons at Babies R Us stores to save even more? And now, thanks to Babies R Us I get to give away a $50 gift card to their store to one lucky reader so you can experiences the store for yourself. The funniest day was when I had to use diapers two sized too small for an entire day while my daughters dad brought some that night. She leaked the entire day.
The funniest diaper memories I have were when my sons were newborns and they would pee straight up in the air when we went to change their diapers. We had to duck or get squirted.
The funniest memory I have is seeing my husband change his first corn diaper.

My mom bought some diapers at Christmas time (well after) from Huggies for my daughter. She finally fits in them so it’s June and she’s still rocking Santa Claus diapers!!
I was so sleepy and tired one night when I changed my son’s diaper and in the dark( don’t cut on lights because he thinks it is time to play) and my silly self was putting the diaper on inside out meaning the side that did not catch anything. All the time I am thinking I am going to have to write the diaper company because they let a bad batch of diapers get into the market and not that i was putting the diaper on hold. Needless to say the next morning, I had to change bedding from pillows to bedding and I also clip fingernails because somebody had them a playtime in poop!
My memorable story is when the tabs on my kid’s diapers became undone and they would walk around with droopy pants, or worse leak through when it happened.
One night I was very tired and sleepy and didn’t realized I had put two diapers on my baby,I found until the next morning

Would LOVE to win! Thanks for sharing!
Whenever I throw a baby shower I make sure to have a diaper “cake” made for the new mom. It’s a fun, practical centerpiece.

Man… most of my funny stories about diapering involve the kids taking the diaper OFF and making a huge mess… MORE THAN ONCE. it got so bad with one child during nap time that we started duct taping the diaper on!

diaper adventures stories? Ever since my kiddo was little he quickly learned how to take off his diaper and loved running around nakey. Diapers? what diapers? He was all booty!
I don’t have any stories yet! My little one will be arriving in 6 weeks! We are having a boy though so I’ve heard the stories.

THe funniest was the first time I took my son to the lake and we used swim diapers. I had no idea swim diapers aren’t absorbent so we put him in one before we left. By the time we got there, his whole carseat was soaked. I learned my lesson!

My funniest (and worst) diaper experience was when my son was a about a week old, we had been waiting for him to poop for a few days and all of a sudden we heard an awful nose coming from him. He was EBF and the poo went everywhere all over him all over the bouncy chair. I cleaned the baby stuff while my husband and father in law bathed the baby, it was very much like 3 men and a baby minus one guy. All my husband and I could think of was the Bill Cosby skit “he made the poopy”
My first son pooped in my face. It wasn’t so funny then but I will never forget that liquid baby poop shooting straight at my face.
When we were looking to buy a new house and we went with an agent to look at a house and my daughter leaked ALL over herself and her clothing. I didnt have a change of clothing. It was the most awkward situation to have to change my baby in.

Our funny diaper story was when we put a swim diaper on instead of a regular one! After dinner we were wondering why he was soaked and the highchair was all wet. Then we realized it was a swim diaper! UGH…had to laugh! 🙂
My daughter once had one so bad, I had to use 4 diapers! She just kept going!

The only diaper story I have and they happen quite a bit, would be when I’m changing my daughter she always seems to think to her self wow this would be a great time to pee 😛
I can remember many car trips that involved massive cleanup ALL the way up to the hair 🙂
I think the most memorable one has to be my sweet little nephew having a huge blow out while cuddled up with me… I had to quickly hand him back and go change my pants – YUK!

at about three months my oldest had a volcano-like eruption of breast milk poo bubbling up out of the front of her diaper. it’s one of my favorite stories to tell her!
My first experience changing a cloth diaper on a friend’s baby — I put it on backwards! Whoops!
Oh my gosh! we once had the trifecta with my 1st son! Pee, Poo and Spit-up! It was unreal both me and dad needed showers along with baby of course!
I was changing my then potty training son’s poop diaper in very dim light and I think some of it must have fell out of his pull up diaper when I pulled it off. I didn’t know that until 15 minutes later when I saw dark brown smooshed poop on the bottom of his foot! Worst part is he thought it was chocolate and took some off his foot with his finger and licked it. I was screaming and rinsing his mouth out haha.
My first baby hasn’t arrived yet, but when my brother was first born (20+ years ago) he squirted the wall during his first bath. Lack of diaper! 🙂
