Sleep training this little guy!
You’d think after 4 kids, I’d have this whole sleep training thing down.  It’s amazing how quickly you forget all the different phases that your baby goes through.  I guess I’ve forgotten it just as quickly as my kids have grown up.  My sweet Andrew who is almost 5 months now, has been having one heck of a time figuring out what I would classify as an acceptable sleep pattern.  Not that I can hardly blame the kid.  I mean, we are constantly on the go, especially now that school has started.  The poor babe is toted to and from piano lessons, football practice, soccer practice, errands, and just about everywhere else.

Up until recently, my sweet baby was waking up just about every 2 and a half  to three hours, which was totally NOT cutting it for this mama!  This has all been somewhat of a new experience for me since my other 3 kids were pretty much sleeping through the night by this age.  But what’s interesting about this new parenting challenge for me is that I’m dealing with it by embracing it.  I know that in what will seem like a blink of an eye, my little guy will be starting Kindergarten and I’ll soon long for the days that he’ll need me as much as he does now.

Sure, I’m tired most days but I have to say that in the middle of the night when everyone else in our home is asleep and it’s just my Andy and me, I try to relish in the moment of holding him and helping soothe him back to sleep.  Thank goodness he’s found his thumb and takes a pacifier to soothe him as well.  This has helped tremendously with training him to sleep for more than 2 to 3 hours at a time.  And, yes, I’ve implemented the cry-it-out method a bit because I know how vitally important it is for him to get adequate, uninterruped sleep.

One of the things I’m grateful for is that I have Huggies on hand.  Huggies® Snug & Dry Diapers with NEW
SureFit Design help provide 12 hours of leakage protection — a must during the night!  I also stock Huggies Natural Care® Wipes with NEW Triple
Clean Layers for diaper changes.  What I love about these is that they are so effective that I find myself using fewer wipes, but they’re gentle enought on my baby’s skin.  These wipes are also so verstatile that I also give them to my other kids to use on their messy hands when we’re out and about.

I’m not the only one who digs Huggies lineup of great products.  You can check out the series of Huggies’ parenting webisodes feature Zuleyka Rivera, Huggies
