When David and I were engaged, our local KC friends threw us a pretty fun couples wedding shower.  And then my Texas friends and family flew me down to Austin for my "girls-only" bridal shower.  It was a fun Hawaiian themed shindig, perfect for celebrating the soon-to-be Maui nuptials.  And when I tell you that plenty of fun was had by all, you're not going to believe the one thing that stood out during that party that ALL of us were in stitches over.  

Toilet paper.

Yes, good 'ol t.p.  You see, my sister {or my mom – I never really asked to find out} came up with the genius idea of making wedding dresses out of toilet paper and used that activity as one of our shower games.  I have never seen a room full of grown women laugh that hard.  Even my grandma.

The way it worked was like this:  Each of us paired up with someone and literally fashioned an entire dress out of toilet paper rolls.  I am surprised to say that there were actually some pretty creative designers among us.
