Funny how things work out sometimes. My original intention when setting out to write this post, was to share with you all of the awesome reasons that my local CVS {just around the corner from my house} helps me stay stress-free during the holiday season.
I wanted to share about how CVS carries a great selection of Pampers innovative diapers and wipes. During my recent trip I picked up one of each because I knew that since I was hosting family for Christmas this year, that I didn't want to run out of diapers and wipes in the midst of all the wonderful family time.
Yep, I also wanted to share with you some of the cool last-minute gift finds that I so love discovering when popping into my local CVS store. Things including tons of baby gear like pacifiers, teethers, toys, sippy cups, and more.
I even ran across the sweetest newborn baby gift set — a Precious Moments customizable keepsake pillow for the new baby.
I was even excited to write about and share with you about how I love some of the one-of-a-kind finds that only a store like CVS can bring. Check out this Fun Loom bracelet making kit for under ten bucks! My kids are obsessed with making these things!
And then I ran across these Kansas City Chiefs goodies – cups, tees, hats, and accessories. Do you know how hard it is to find reasonably priced Chiefs merchandise?! Especially in THIS town, seeing as how HOT our KC Chiefs are right now!
And I knew you'd also love to know about the vast greeting card selection at CVS stores. I was able to pick up a few just-right cards for teachers and friends. I love how you can always count on popping into a CVS store and finding just what you need, while at the same time, discovering things you never knew you'd want.
But alas, what I never expected this post to turn into was one that told the story of how CVS truly saved my holiday season – in more ways than one. Yes, CVS does make the holiday season fuss-free in all the wonderful ways I shared above. But, this season CVS delivered in ways that my family and I never saw coming.
Yep, that's a thermometer, some kids' fever reducing medicine, and my trusty CVS medicine dropper. While my mom, stepdad, sister, brother-in-law, and niece were visiting for the holiday week, sickness struck our house. I lost count at how many times all of us ran to CVS for various needs. My sister was able be seen in their Minute Clinic to discover she had an upper respiratory infection and was able to fill a prescription and pick up some over-the-counter meds for my niece. My stepdad made a trip to pick up drinks and some cough drops for himself and my mom. And I even stopped in to get movie candy for a post-Christmas movie with the kiddos.
CVS has truly saved us this holiday season and I'm not suprised in the least! I am so grateful that there is one literally just around the corner from my house and even more because they DO carry things I need everyday like Pampers, wipes, medicine, gift ideas, unique finds, and more.
