When you’re a mom, a working one or not, there are a lot of things to consider and organize. Keeping up with work, family life, home life, home work, extracurricular activities, as well as date nights, grocery shopping, and self-care, can be a real juggle. When you’re busy, you can just let the necessary things take over, but that isn’t a way to get a good work and life balance. Which is why taking steps to get yourself organized is really key. So with that in mind, here are some mom hacks to try, to help you to get as organized as possible.

Family Calendar

It can be a good idea to plan family life, just as you would plan your work life. You should have your family as coworkers, as you try to work together to get things done. Which is why having a family calendar or something like a habit tracker can be a good idea. When you get your family involved with the calendar it makes a big difference too. Then you’re not the only one in charge or the only one that knows what is going on. Everyone can check, add in their events, and check back. Don’t settle into the routine of mom just knowing it all, as that can be stressful for you. Take the pressure off and get the whole family involved with a family calendar.

Evening Routine

Morning routines are something that get a lot of headlines. We know they are great and can help to get everyone out of the door on time. However, it isn’t where your main focus should be as a busy parent. That is where an evening routine comes into place. The night routine that you have can make or break the whole day. It can be the things that determine whether you have to order food or have the time to make a meal from scratch. The evening routine determines how much sleep you’ll be likely to get. So it is such a good idea to take some time to plan your evening out, using a planner, tracker, or family calendar, as mentioned above. It will help to give you some perspective on how you spend your time, and what you could be doing to make the most of the time and implement some positive changes.

Meal Prep

Meal prep is something that can make a big difference to your day, as well as your wallet. You can spend a lot of money on takeout or ready-made food if you’re not planning ahead with your meals. Meal prep is where you cook something once, and then it will last for a few dinners or lunches. Save yourself time, and it will stop you heading out for takeout. The key to this kind of thing is that you need to look out for the recipes that your family will want, and will want to eat multiple nights in a row.

This is just the start to get a grip on being more organized as a mom; is there anything else that you would add to the list?
